Ir. Au is Managing Director of Primetech Engineers Sdn Bhd and holds an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Malaya. He has diverse experience in a wide range of projects such as high rise, office, institutional building, university campus, residential developments, mall, museum, warehouse, factories and infrastructure planning. He has also successfully led the implementation of sustainable strategies for a number of GBI Platinum and Gold buildings.
Some notable projects recently completed under his leadership include the state-of-the-art Borneo Cultures Museum in Kuching and the country’s 2nd tallest skyscraper Exchange 106 in Tun Razak Exchange.
In 2020-2021, 3 projects under his leadership were awarded with 5 National Energy Awards, 4 ASEAN Energy Awards and the Golden Pencil Award for Midea International HVAC Design Contest.
Apart from his professional work, Ir. Au is also active in the industry and lectures regularly in various NGOs and universities on topics related to M&E design, Sustainable Design, Energy Efficiency and Fire Safety Design. He is a member in the Technical Committee for Fire Properties of Building Material and serves as a Working Group member for various Malaysian Standards. He is also a member of the working group for the 2021 Amendments of the UBBL 1984.
Ir. Au is a registered GBI Facilitator registered with Green Building Index, a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional registered with the Association of Energy Engineers, USA, a Registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission, Malaysia and an Independent Commissioning Specialist registered with ASHRAE Malaysia Chapter.
